Alice Levine

Alice Levine hosts the 1-4pm slot every weekend on BBC Radio 1. Having joined the presenting team in the much coveted “John Peel” 10pm – midnight slot with Phil Taggart in Jan 2013, Alice has certainly honed her skills as an all round broadcaster.

Alice’s TV career has seen her host a variety of shows across all the major channels. Her specialist music show on Radio 1, made her an authority on new artists and led to her hosting lots of exciting content including The Barclaycard Mercury Music Sessions (Channel 4), The Barclaycard Music Prize (Channel 4), for BASCA at the Ivor Novellos, and Isle Of Wight coverage (Sky Arts), The Great Escape Festival (Channel 4), Radio 1s Big Weekend and Glastonbury (BBC3), Live from Lovebox (Xbox) as well as hosting live awards events for AIM, two years in a row, as well as the Women in Music awards.

Continuing with the music theme, Alice notched a UK chart number 1 with “Gareth Malone’s All Star Choir” for BBC Children in Need. The BBC1 series with the same title saw Alice and a team of celebrities challenged to become a fully fledged singing group, leading to a huge figure raised for the charity. Alice was also later asked to go to Uganda for Comic Relief to report their initiative Operation Health.

Alice has always had a passion for fashion. Her flair was noticed by Finery who asked her to design a piece for their Forever Collection, launched April 2016.  Alices “Levine Blouse” has been a huge success and paves the way for her to continue this side of her career.

Alice has always had a huge appetite for comedy, which is reflected in her presenting style. She secured the “new comedian” seat on infamous Channel 4 series “8 Out Of 10 Cats” and more recently “Alan Davies, As Yet Untitled” (Dave) and “Celebrity Squares” (ITV1). Alice is currently writing her own comedy scripts and developing format ideas with a number of leading production companies. The most recent of which being a project called “My Dad Wrote a Porno” which began as a podcast about her friend Jamie Mortons dad writing an erotic novel. Alice, her writing partner James Cooper sit down to read the book with Jamie, chapter by chapter making comedy gold! The number 1 podcast has had over 20 million listens to date, live performances that have sold out in under 8 minutes and book released October 2016.

Alice and James also appear in “Neighbours” which is currently available on their Youtube Channel with cameo appearances from the likes of Joe Lycett.

In addition to her TV / Radio work, Alice runs a successful food and lifestyle brand with her friend Laura Jackson under the moniker Jackson&Levine. Events are gaining exciting notoriety in London and has led to a column for ELLEUK.com as well as curating events for huge brands. Together they hosted a TV series for All4 called “My pop up restaurant” and are currently writing a book to be published by Quadrille in early 2017.
