Brad Ellis, also known as Brad Baloo is a multi-platinum and gold award winning, top ten charting widely-acclaimed songwriter, record producer and DJ who is published by Sony ATV.
Brad has worked with and crafted hits amassing millions upon millions of streams & views for global stars such as Little Mix, Sam Smith, Anne-Marie, Jorja Smith, Leona Lewis, James Arthur, and Plan B. Brad has co-written and produced with various dance producers including Chase & Status, Joe Goddard, and Wilkinson, with whom he wrote the song ‘Afterglow’ which went on to be a huge hit across radio and clubs.
Brad really enjoys developing new up and coming talent and has helped build the songwriting craft of many artists, helping them find their voice & sound most recently being the hotly tipped singer/songwriter Maisie Peters with Brad co-writing and producing her first two singles, which in the last 6 months have already amassed well over 30 million streams and has led to her signing a major publishing and record deal.
Originally from Cambridge and now working and living in North London where his studio is based, Brad’s early career started as one half of the hip hop production act The Nextmen who have released 4 studio albums, remixed many high profile artists from Public Enemy, Nas and The Pharcyde to Groove Armada and Corrine Bailey Rae. Their mixtapes are the stuff of legends, with their signature sound blending classic soul, funk, and reggae with pop, hip hop, drum’n’bass and dancehall. As DJs they have a huge party rocking reputation that has taken them around the world DJing clubs and private parties for celebrities, fashion houses, festivals, labels and award shows.
This year will also see him release a brand new Nextmen album which is a bass heavy collaboration with cult-group Gentlemans Dub Club out this summer.
