Jesse Metcalfe was born Carmel Valley, California. When Jesse was two years old, he and his mother moved to Waterford, Connecticut.
While in school, Jesse worked for his stepfather in the landscaping business. Jesse started modelling part-time during his sophomore year in high school. His ads appeared in magazines like Seventeen and YM.
In 1999 Jesse joined the cast of US daytime soap opera Passions, playing Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald. Jesse left Passions in 2004 and was cast as John Rowland in Desperate Housewives and went on to appear in 22 episodes between 2004 and 2007. Jesse picked up the Breakout Male award at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards for his role.
Jesse’s movie career started in 2006 when he was cast as the lead role in the movie John Tucker Must Die. In 2008 Jesse appeared as Tristan Price in Loaded and Jack in Insanitarium. Later the same year, he starred as Granger Woodruff in The Other End of the Line to great critical acclaim. In 2009 Jesse appeared in his biggest movie yet, playing C.J. Nichols in Beyond a Reasonable Doubt opposite Michael Douglas.
In between his acting career, Jesse has been fortunate enough to work on some more commercial television projects. He guest presented the Paul O’Grady Show in 2007, and in 2008 hosted the World Music Awards in Monte-Carlo, which was broadcast across the globe.
Most recently, Jesse starred in the NBC drama Chase and will be starring in the upcoming remake of Dallas which is set to air in the summer of 2012.
